Police in Wyoming, Minnesota are once again having fun with tweets on 4/20 - the well-known nationwide "holiday" for marijuana users. "Discreet traps have been set up throughout the city today" and is trending on Twitter.
The Tweet reads, "Undercover #420 operations are in place".
The Wyoming Police Department posted a picture of one of its officers holding a large net next to a "trap" set for those celebrating April 20 by partaking in marijuana illegally. Small and quirky as it may be, the police department's Twitter presence is a force to be reckoned with.
The department received similar attention a year ago when its Twitter post was of "munchies" being used as a trap under a cardboard box propped up with a stick.
In a follow-up tweet, the police department said: "All jokes aside, substance abuse is a real issue". After showing off their wildly popular pothead trap on Facebook previous year. They also offered to help find resources to those with substance abuse issues without issuing jail time.
