Cyrus Kouandjio tells deputy to shoot him, report says

According to Vic Carucci of the Buffalo News, Kouandjio was involved in a freaky incident in which police found him partially clothed and asking police to shoot him.

According to the Buffalo News, Kouandjio was found in a field not fully clothed after climbing over an electric fence. As police approached him, a police source told the News that Kouandjio said, "Shoot me". He was then transported to Eric County Medical Center for further evaluation.

Kouandjio was not present at the Bills' minicamp practice Thursday.

The complete circumstances are still a mystery, and out of respect for Kouandjio's public profile and the community guidelines, we would prefer that commenters restrain their speculation about the reasons for this incident until more information is known.

The team released a statement in response to the peculiar situation. Zylka said the player's vehicle was discovered abandoned on a nearby highway by New York State troopers later in the day.

Kouandjio was not arrested, but he was taken to a nearby hospital for observation. They found his auto abandoned on the side of the road. In that time he has found his way into 25 games, and has started seven of them.
