Other rumoured features of Nokia 9 include the company's OZO audio technology, an iris scanner, Android 7.1.2 Nougat and IP68 certification.
If you remember, HMD Global - the current proprietor of Nokia's mobile division - had promised that it would roll out the monthly security patches along with major software updates frequently to all handsets across its portfolio.
Can Nokia and BlackBerry stand on their own, or is it all hype and nostalgia?
One important thing to note is that Nokia 6 joins an extremely small number of devices running Android Nougat 7.1.1 with official support from smartphone makers.
Apart from that, the over-the-air (OTA) update also adds to Android's existing background management and power saving features. Of course, given the fact that the Nokia 6 previously ran on Android 7.0, users will also get all the features that were new in the 7.1 version. Globally, the price of the Nokia 6 is Euros 229 and the ARTE edition carries a tag of Euros 299. To check for the update manually, you will need to go over to Settings About Phone System Updates Check for new firmware.
The update comes with Google's April security patch fixes. Some USB Drivers of the device will also get a boost to its functionality.
When Is Nokia 6 Releasing In the United States? It is expected to hit the global market in the second half of 2017. It will also release the budget phones; Nokia 3 and Nokia 5, in some parts of the world starting from next month. The Nokia 9 might feature an edge-to-edge all-screen design. RAM capacity is rumored to reach 6GB, along with 128GB of internal storage. The selfie camera is said to have a 12-megapixel shooter, while the phone could come with a 3,800mAh battery with Quick Charge 4.0.
