Leaked! Full Specifications, Release Date & Images Of HTC U

HTC's second flagship for 2017 the one dubbed Ocean or HTC U has been rumored for quite some time. We confidently say this, after a popular leakster, Evan Blass posted the same on his twitter handle. The memory will boast 64GB and 128GB storage and a 4GB and 6GB RAM option. The smartphone vendor announced two devices under the same U series earlier this year - HTC U Ultra and U Play which with no doubt, looks absolutely stunning.

Along with mentioning the specifications, Blass nearly leaked image renders of the to-be-announced HTC U. The picture of the smartphone shows screen-to-body ratio design on board along with a physical home screen button at the front. Alas, there's not much to see here; we don't get a good look at the HTC U's marquee feature: a touch sensitive side frame that allows for a variety of customizable UI interactions.

Android Headlines has reported that the information in the leaked material suggests that the users will need to perform a short squeeze so that the Edge Sense will start to perform certain tasks, such as the Camera or turning on the Wi-Fi Hotspot. It has been reported the Ocean will have high-end specs such as a 5.5-inch display along with a Quad HD resolution.

The phone features a home button in the front, which is expected to double up as fingerprint scanner. Most reviewers have deemed the HTC 10 as the ideal Android smartphone package because it features everything you would want, right down to the promise of receiving security and software updates after Pixel devices. The HTC U will further be powered by Qualcomm's latest processor - Snapdragon 835 chipset.

Camera wise, the new model will house a 12 MP IMX362 Sony sensor for the main camera and a 16 MP IMX351 on the front.

Based on the feedback of this rumor, users aren't too happy with HTC's possible decision. The HTC U will be the company's second flagship smartphone of the year, after the HTC U Ultra.
