Smith's tone was more conciliatory as the Australia skipper apologised for his outburst after his team's eight-wicket defeat at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium.
"I like taking responsibility; every game that I play for India is an opportunity to do something special with my skills". The two teams have in recent times only met at ICC events and Asia Cup games.
Australia wasn't expected to be competitive in India, and the cricket fans who have followed the series believe the rivalry - not rancour - will be what endures.
As New Zealand versus South Africa series was the last series to finish before the April 1 annual cut-off, South Africa's number-two ranking has won it an award of five lakh dollars, while Australia has collected two lakh dollars.

The tournament will be played under the banner of Asian Cricket Committee and is scheduled to take place between March 15 to 26. Brushing the criticism aside, Kohli said he hardly cares for what was spoken or written about him Down Under.
But no action was taken by the ICC as the BCCI had played the government-intervention card.
