Nedved: Juventus v Barcelona comes at the ideal time

The LaLiga giants have been drawn with Serie A table leaders Juventus.

"The draw is the draw and in the quarter-finals there are no easy teams". "Juve are growing by the day".

"That is what we are going to have to do. Of course we must show Barcelona the right amount of respect, but not too much because then you begin to feel fear and that's completely the wrong approach".

"I know that as a former Barca player, Dani would have liked to avoid them, but you can't please everybody", Nedved said. "We're happy to be here today as the only Italian side left in the competition, which makes me proud, but I would prefer if it there were other Italian sides here because Italian football needs them". The La Liga champions beat Juve 3-1 in the final played at the Berlin Olympic stadium.

"It doesn't matter where we play as we both matches will be hard".

The Bianconeri eased through to the final eight by defeating Porto 3-0 on aggregate, but the Blaugrana made headlines by overturning a heavy first leg defeat via a stunning 6-1 victory over PSG back at the Camp Nou.

"It's a fascinating tie against Barcelona", said Juve vice president Nedved following Friday's draw in Nyon.

"It doesn't mean we'll go through, but we're in a good place to do so".

The first leg of the quarter-finals will be held on April 11-12, followed by the second-leg that is scheduled for April 18-19. "We have to score in Turin".
