Meanwhile, offbeat comedian and actor Noel Fielding, who's known for his role in The Mighty Boosh, will host the show alongside Danish-British comedian and presenter Sandi Toksvig.
The new crew will go head-to-head with a BBC show hosted by incredibly charming Bake Off victor Nadiya Hussain, The Big Family Cooking Showdown.
Leith, who has appeared as a judge on the BBC's Great British Menu, said it was "such an honour" to join the Bake Off team.
Channel 4 has announced its new, post Mary/Sue/Mel Bake Off roster. Hmm. I've always loved brightly colored cakes and Sandi Toksvig so this is a dream come true for me! Noel Fielding is one of the nicest guys in show business.
In September it was revealed that the show would leave BBC One after rival broadcaster Channel 4 put in a higher bid for the rights to air it. "The only down side is that he has much better dress sense than I do".
The stars made their decision when production company Love Productions chose to sell the series to Channel 4 after seven seasons with the BBC. "If @noelfielding11 can do Bake Off I'm replacing Len on Strictly". It's basically the double'.
Well, we CAN'T WAIT to see these lot on the new show.
Paul Hollywood, well, you already know the deal with him.
Speaking yesterday about his appointment to Bake Off co-host, Noel said: "GBBO is one of my favourite shows".
Yes some people are confused as to what on earth Noel could be bringing to the GBBO table, and debating whether or not the show's producers have lost their damn minds.
Although Prue and Sandi had been tipped to be joining the Channel 4 revamp, Noel's rise to the roll (couldn't help it, sorry) came as a bit of a shock. "I'm looking forward to seeing them putting our great new bunch of amateur bakers through their paces".
Berry quit her role on the Bake Off previous year after it was revealed the BBC had lost out to the highest bidders for the rights to broadcast the programme.
"She has that real knowledge and by no means a soft touch but really kind and [has] warmth I think she'll be great with the bakers in the tent". She said "What a silly thing to say".
"I'm very excited about it", he continued, adding that Fielding and Toksvig would "ace" the job.
