Everton ace Romelu Lukaku has turned down the new deal on the table from the Toffees, according to the latest report from Sky Sports.
Only last week the Belgium international's agent Mino Raiola has claimed the deal was "99.99999999" per cent done.
The news comes after Lukaku cast further doubt on his future after telling a Dutch journalist "no" when asked if he would be signing a new contract with Everton - although the striker was smiling when he responded.
However, Lukaku wants to keep his options open rather than put pen to paper on the £140,000-a-week terms on offer.
As it stands, Lukaku is joint top scorer alongside Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane in the Premier League with 19 goals.
However, Lukaku has told the Toffees he now has no desire to extend a contract that has two years to run.
However, Lukaku remains the star of the show at Goodison Park and would be a welcome addition to a number of bigger clubs where he would be offered the opportunity to play Champions League football.
He had already been linked with Juventus over the January transfer window.
Premier League giants Chelsea and Manchester United have received a huge boost in the pursuit of Romelu Lukaku after he snubbed talks over a contract extension at Everton.
The news will be a crushing blow to Everton, who had hoped to persuade Lukaku to spearhead their European ambitions next season, with the backing of their majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri, the Guardian said.
