Titled Shining, the track debuted on Jay Z's subscription-based streaming service Tidal after the awards ceremony.
(Radio.com) DJ Khaled's new track featuring Jay Z and Beyonce, "Shining", has some fans thinking Hov is taking a subliminal shot at Drake. Cute, right? Jay's verse, especially, is a celebration of the twins his wife is now carrying.
"The European trucks for the twin babies, Don't let me have a son, I'm a fool", he raps, "Send him to school in all my jewels".
In the first single from Khaled's upcoming Grateful project, Beyonce offers a couple of verses glowing with her superstar bravado followed by the Roc Nation rap emperor. According to Jay's engineer Young Guru, the track was actually recorded the night before The Grammy awards, presumably at the Carter household's home studio. "Want a boy and girl to fight for truth".
"12 solo albums/ All platinum, n**ga", he begins. I know you ain't out here talking summers, right? "Sayin' boss shit when you a runner, right?" The two rappers have been involved in numerous beefs over the years, and Jay appears to refer to his counterpart in the lines: "I know you ain't out here talkin" numbers, right?
