Could Microsoft release the Surface Phone in 2017?
A photo posted in the user forum of Baidu appears to offer the first glimpse at the revived Surface Phone project.
Several reports have popped up claiming the Surface Phone will come in three models, with each model sporting the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 830 CPU. If it were ever to be a reality, then one should expect to fork out quite a fortune.
When it comes down to the mid-range version of the Surface Phone line, this one could come with 6GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage.
Microsoft may actually want to wait for Intel's next generation chips, the Kaby Lake processors for its Surface hybrid tablet and the Windows 10 Redstone 2. This could indicate that the Surface Phone will allow users to unlock their device just by looking at the front-facing camera.
The Surface Phone is also expected to reinvigorate Microsoft's mobile business, especially after the failure of the Nokia brand.
With a render image like this already set up, it would appear that Microsoft is now far along the development of the Microsoft Surface Phone.
